T A Fisher bring Travelodge to Newbury
20 July 2010 Demolition of the former Texaco petrol filing station is now complete and agreed remediation works have also been satisfied. The main building contract is due to commence mid August 2010 with an anticipated completion date of mid May 2011.

RSM Tenon Take Ad-Vantage of Lease Expiry
16 July 2010 The most significant office letting in Basingstoke for 18 months has just been announced with RSM Tenon signing up for 12,193 sq ft (1,133 sq m) in the ‘Vantage’ building in Victoria Street at the ‘top of town’.
Tenon merged with RSM in late 2009 to become the 6th largest global accountancy firm, and listed on AIM. Their existing lease on Clifton House close to the railway station comes to an end in December this year. The merger, combined with the lease expiry prompted them to upgrade into the fully refurbished and air conditioned offices, whilst also retaining a location within walking distance of the town centre amenities. They will occupy the first and second floors in ‘Vantage’, joining NFU who already lease the ground floor.
Fishron Securities are RSM Tenon’s new landlord - a joint venture between two successful local developers, TA Fisher Ltd and Lamron Estates. Their agents were Baker Davidson Thomas and Hollis Hockley, who confirmed a new 10 year deal at a headline rent of £15.50 per sq ft with incentives. Richard Thomas commented … “This is a much needed office deal for Basingstoke, reflecting the fact that we’ve hopefully turned the corner in this market”.
