T A Fisher recently held a successful five-hour public consultation event at Crowmarsh Village Hall on Friday 11th April 2025, showcasing early proposals for the redevelopment of the former Jewson’s Yard site.
Running from 3pm to 8pm, the drop-in session welcomed a steady flow of local residents keen to view and discuss the plans for the site. Attendees had the opportunity to speak directly with members of the T A Fisher team, including Development Director Steve Davies and Land and Planning Manager Richard Barter, as well as representatives from Woolf Bond Planning, who are overseeing the planning process.
The proposed scheme sets out a vision to transform the derelict yard into a thoughtfully designed development of 15 high-quality, mews-style 1- and 2-bedroom cottages, while also restoring and conserving the existing Grade II listed building. The design draws inspiration from the surrounding village architecture, with an emphasis on traditional materials and sensitive detailing.
Commenting on the event, Steve Davies said: “It was encouraging to see such strong local interest in the scheme. We were pleased to speak with residents and hear their views directly. Our aim is to create a development that not only revitalises this underused site, but also genuinely enhances the character and vitality of Crowmarsh Gifford. That’s why hearing these views directly is so important to us, and they will help shape our proposals when we submit a planning application to South Oxfordshire District Council”
All feedback from the consultation will be carefully considered as the project moves through the planning stages.
