Members from across T A Fisher came together this week for the company’s inaugural padel tournament, held at Padel Hub Reading.
Taking place on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year, the event brought colleagues from different departments together for an afternoon of friendly competition, teamwork and plenty of laughs.
Padel has quickly become one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, combining elements of tennis and squash in a fast-paced doubles format. For many of the T A Fisher team, this was their first time giving the sport a go, but the feedback was positive all round.
Despite the heat, there were some impressive rallies, a few competitive moments and a great atmosphere throughout the evening. The tournament proved to be a hit with everyone involved and, judging by the reaction, it may well become a regular fixture in the T A Fisher calendar.
Congratulations go to Sarah and Gavin, who were named the evening’s “most improved players” and took home prizes on the night.
A big thank you also goes to Padel Hub Reading for hosting the event and looking after the team. After a warm afternoon on court, cold beers and pizzas were the perfect way to round off a fantastic team evening.
