T A Fisher is proud to have renewed its membership of the Berkshire Community Foundation (BCF) Business Philanthropy Club for another year, continuing our longstanding support of the foundation’s invaluable work across the region.
Our continued commitment reflects T A Fisher’s ethos of giving back to the communities in which we operate, supporting local people and projects that make a real difference. The Business Philanthropy Club, helps fund a wide range of initiatives through BCF’s grant-making programmes – many of which are based in West Berkshire, where our business has deep roots.
Over the past year, the Foundation awarded £128,804 in grants to 39 projects across West Berkshire, positively impacting more than 24,000 beneficiaries. These grants have supported vital causes spanning health and wellbeing, mental health, homelessness, poverty, education, and youth development, with charities like Newbury Soup Kitchen and Read Easy West Berkshire making a powerful difference in the community.
These examples reflect the tangible, transformative impact of the BCF grants. From helping adults read their own shopping lists to moving individuals from homelessness into stability and employment, the outcomes are truly inspiring.
Duncan Mayes Group Finance Director commented ‘We continue to be impressed with the work carried out by BCF and are proud to be able to support their activities. We particularly value the fact that BCF ensures that smaller, more local charities are being listened to and get access to much needed grants.’
