T A Fisher acquired a parcel of land in the year 2000. The land was outside the AONB and village settlement and was poor quality and essentially used for grazing. The land had a narrow frontage to Kennylands Road with the access being sufficient for agricultural vehicles only.
This 3.5 acre site is located just outside but adjacent to the village settlement boundary. We promoted the site for inclusion within the Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (HELAA) 2017 and is now included in the HELAA 2020 as a site considered to be ‘developable’.
The original Tower House site was acquired in 2013 under a subject to planning agreement. Subsequently planning was achieved for 4 large dwellings. Construction of the scheme was underway when it came to pass that a more interesting sizeable development project might be forthcoming.
