T A Fisher welcomes new tenant Harrison Family Vets who are occupying our development at ‘The Point’, Shepherds Hill, East Reading, a prime location on the A4.
The veterinary surgery sits alongside Pets Corner and Majestic and is over 3000 sq ft in size. The requirements of a private veterinary practice were significantly different from the previous occupier The Bath Store.
As part of the lease a very specialist fit out was completed. An example is the waiting areas featuring bespoke pods, giving clients their own space and offering pets privacy and therefore shielding them from the stresses of facing other pets in a traditional waiting room.
Harrison Family Vets’ state of the art clinics boast extensive facilities including on-site laboratories, full x-ray suites, operating theatres, ultrasonography and separate dog and cat wards that have been carefully designed with mood lighting, aromas and music to create a calming atmosphere.
Harrison Family Vets was founded in 2021 by Tim Harrison. Tim turned White Cross Vets into one of the UK’s fastest growing group veterinary practices, operating a collection of 19 practices throughout the North and Midlands before selling to IVC Evidensia in 2018.
There are parallels between how T A Fisher and the Harrison Family operate. Tim says “The whole ethos at Harrison Family Vets is about fostering a culture within our team that sets us apart and differentiates our practice from all others”, something that can be likened to the T A Fisher group, who celebrated their 125th year in business in 2020.
The practice prides itself on providing quality, accessible and affordable healthcare for pets and includes a spacious car park, ensuring customers and their pets can always park close to the entrance door.
The Reading branch is the first practice of Harrison Family Vets, the next practice will open later this summer in the midlands, before the group expands into the north-west towards the end of the year. Harrison Family Vets is already searching for further properties across the north and south of England, with plans to open 75 practices by the end of the decade.
