We were delighted to welcome Georgie from the Alzheimer’s Society to T A Fisher last week following our annual donation to the charity. It was gratifying to learn of the differences our continued support is helping to make.
Dementia is a cause that has impacted and continues to impact the lives of members of our team and their loved ones, making our relationship with the charity especially meaningful to us.
It was fascinating to understand the real-world impact our donations have made. Georgia explained that our donations to date are equivalent to the cost of:
💙 Answering 2,800 calls to the Dementia Support Line
💙 Providing 133 Singing for the Brain sessions
💙 Running the Dementia Friends programme for 60 hours
These vital services offer expert advice, practical guidance and emotional support to people living with dementia, as well as their families and carers. Donations also help fund groundbreaking research and campaigning for a more dementia-inclusive society.
With someone in the UK developing dementia every three minutes, this work remains critically important. We are proud to continue supporting Alzheimer’s Society and the remarkable difference it makes to people’s lives.
